Couples & Family Therapy in Fredericksburg, Virginia
Find your way back to each other.
For couples who want to stop having the same fight. For families trying to find their way back. For the moment you realize something has to change.
In person in Fredericksburg and On-line across Virginia.
Maybe this sounds familiar
Maybe you and your partner have become more like roommates than the people who once couldn't wait to see each other. The same argument on a loop. The same silence afterward.
A distance that keeps growing no matter how hard you both try.
Maybe you can be in the same room and still feel completely alone.
Maybe home has started to feel less like a place you exhale and more like a place you brace yourself.
You don't have to keep white-knuckling through it. We Thrive Together was built for exactly this — helping couples and families find their way back to each other.
Most couples reach the same realization eventually
— that the problem was never really the fight.
It was the disconnection underneath it.

The way we work
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) works with the pattern between you, not the argument in front of you. Most couples find that once they can actually see the cycle they're caught in — who reaches, who retreats, and why — the conversations start going differently. What felt like a problem with your partner starts to look like something the two of you are caught in together, and something you can change.
Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) does the same work with families. When a child stops talking, or the whole house runs on tension nobody names, there's almost always something underneath it that no one has found a way to say out loud. EFFT helps families get to those conversations — and helps everyone feel safer once they're there.
