Meet Sarah

Sarah McClelland, LCSW, is a dedicated and compassionate therapist specializing in supporting moms. New mothers both pre and post-partum, stay at home mothers, single mothers, addressing the unique challenges of motherhood, and helping busy, working mothers navigate the complexities of parenting. With a deep understanding of the high achiever juggling multiple roles, Sarah offers a safe and empathetic space for clients to explore their experiences and find balance.

Sarah utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients reduce the emotional impact of traumatic events, allowing them to move forward without the weight of past experiences following them into their future.

In addition to her focus on motherhood and attachment, Sarah has a wealth of knowledge in several niche areas. She is exceptionally skilled in addressing traumatic grief, particularly in the aftermath of homicide, and supports clients through the complex emotional landscape of such profound loss. Furthermore, Sarah provides specialized care for individuals managing the emotional toll of Multiple Sclerosis, helping them navigate the psychological challenges of living with a chronic illness.

Meet Scott

Scott Foor, MSW is a Supervisee in Social Work who works primarily with young adults, teens, and preteens.  He has a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Virginia's College at Wise and a Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Pittsburgh. Scott started his mental health career as a mentor for at-risk youth. Motivated by his experiences of helping at-risk youth as a mentor, Scott went on to work at a pediatric psychiatric hospital and an intensive outpatient Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) clinic.  After moving back to Virginia, he began working for Prince William County Community Services in their Intensive In Home program.  In these settings, Scott implemented Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to support clients in overcoming life challenges and empowering clients to improve overall functioning.

background & approach

Scott has a passion for Geek Culture and uses this in his therapeutic practice.  He integrates geek and nerd interests, such as video games, comic books, science fiction, fantasy, technology, and other pop culture elements, into therapy practice.  Scott believes that individuals who identify as geeks or nerds may have unique interests, experiences, and ways of relating to the world that can be harnessed for therapeutic benefit.  As a therapist who incorporates geek culture into his practice, he uses these interests as a way to connect with clients, build rapport, and create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment.  Scott uses elements of geek culture such as role-playing games, superhero metaphors, and fictional narratives to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a creative and engaging way.  Through this process, clients can find new ways to process emotions, gain insights into their experiences, and develop coping strategies for managing challenges in their lives.

Scott is currently in the process towards becoming a Certified Geek Therapist and he is embarking on a training process in Internal Family Systems (IFS)Therapy.

Meet Meredith.

Hi, I’m Meredith, and I’m here to help you feel more grounded, supported, and in control of your life—wherever you are. I am a Supervisee in Clinical Social Work with a passion for empowerment, resiliency, and self discovery. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from University of Mary Washington and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.

I offer online therapy for adults and teens age 16 and older who are navigating stress, anxiety, life changes, relationship struggles, or just feeling stuck. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation—where you can show up as yourself, be honest about what’s going on, and know you’re not being judged. Whether you’re working through something big or just need some help figuring out your next steps in life, I’ll meet you where you are and help you discover your path forward with confidence.

In our sessions, I use a mix of practical tools and compassionate support, drawing from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. And because therapy is online, it’s flexible and convenient—you can meet with me from wherever you feel comfortable.

If you’re ready to make some changes or just need a space to talk things through, I’m here and looking forward to supporting you on your journey.
